Multi-dimensional ecology is one of the foundations of the Prāṇāyu orphanage. This value derives its uniqueness from the search for completeness in the application of ecology and bionomics.
Rigorously put into practice, it will allow each child:
- enjoy a peaceful environment and a airy atmosphere,
- living in an infrastructure devoid of endogenous endocrine disruptors
- To take advantage of the cognitive consistency of the structure's ethics
- To learn from the broad spectrum of ecological knowledge of Prāṇāyu.
- To develop faculties of compassion and solidarity :
The food prepared in our kitchen will come from the orphanage's vegetable production, following the methods of permaculture and agro-ecology, and supplemented by semi-wild cultures made by the Ādivasī-s, which will provide what could not have been grown on site. This consumption circuit makes it possible to guarantee:
Every effort is made to ensure that the orphanage has a positive ecological footprint: focus on short circuits for ALL that is consumed, plant crops with the best carbon capture capacity, use environmentally friendly modes of transport.
- Environmental ideal
The Prāṇāyu site will be selected to benefit from the quality of elements, resources and a pure natural environment. The location, layout, brightness, everything will be studied to allow children to evolve in spaces promoting health and serenity.
- Absence of endocrine disruptors
One of Prāṇāyu's key commitments is to provide children with an environment virtually devoid of endocrine disruptors to grow in an environment of high purity. It is now proven that endocrine disruptors decrease the intelligence quotient (IQ) * of people exposed to it. In India, no legislation imposes by its standards the use of materials containing endocrine disruptors.
Thus the whole environment of children is carefully studied to be pure: building materials, clothing, furniture, toys, educational material, kitchen equipment, cleaning products, staff uniforms ...
To this rule Prāṇāyu allows itself an exception by the use of computers by children, to allow them to learn computer science at a suitable age.
- Eco-responsible commitment & reverse carbon balance
The Prāṇāyu orphanage by its rigor aims to impact nature positively.
The criteria of vigilance and environmental care meet a set of specifications elaborated with precision and search for completeness:
